Musical visionary Nikka Gershman invites listeners on a journey at Carnegie Hall, reimagining beloved masterworks through the resonance of the flute. Joined by international piano star Polina Osetinskaya, celebrated for her electrifying performances, the duo performs works by Mozart, Schubert, and Ravel, alongside the world premiere of Gershman's "Atonement Sonata" for flute and piano. The music ranges from heartfelt vulnerability to a cataclysmic whirlwind of emotion, showcasing the unique possibilities of the flute. Pre-concert talk by renowned music theorist Dr. Steven Laitz at 7:00PM.
